MUSIC - Soulful
MUSIC – Soulful, Let's Rock to the Rythm
“If music be the food of love, then play on…” - Shakespeare
Music uplifts the soul, when you are down. Or even when tormented by demons. King David, before he became king. As a little boy he was summoned severally by King Saul to play soul healing music to keep Saul’s demons at bay.
GODLY MUSIC vs DEVILISH MUSIC
Holy lyrics, devil’s music - not the same as God’s music.
Observe that all the Hymns in the Church Choir were meticulous, thoughtful and spiritual compositions.
“Give me that old time religion…that was good for Paul and Silas…”
“Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so…”
All sweet and nice lyrics. But the music accompaniment might just be straight from the devil’s den.
Watch out!
Godly music might not be so enticing as devilish music, but at least it keeps your senses intact.
Devilish music, though coined with the name of Jesus, sweet to dance, ecastic and intoxicating, sizes your thinking faculty and sways you thoughtlessly, leading to ungodly actions.
Some rude youths these days will bow down and say to you, “Good morning, sir.” But what it really sounds is like is, “Good morning, stupid old man, sir.”
Therefore, the tone, tune and the body language, the manner of delivery, will betray the very nice words being uttered.
I watched with utter amazement, a music video, in which a lady sang, “Holy ghost fire, fire follow and destroy my enemies…” repeatedly in monotone, dressed flamboyantly in outrageous fashion style, dancing hip-hop style till the end.
In her own case, both message and the music were at variance with the doctrine of Christ.
Holy Ghost fire does not follow your enemies, it descends and rests upon the individual that invokes it. In fact, the “Holy Ghost” is so pure that it’s difficult to come by. You really have to prepare for it, to be able to receive it. When It does come upon one, gives the individual power to command demons, cast out evil spirits and perform miracles.
When the Holy Ghost came down on the day of Pentecost, it came upon the apostles, and gave them power to speak in “tongues” of other people present.
Those people whose tongues were being spoken understood what the tongues were saying, and wee amazed.
So we now have “speaking in tongues,” that no one on earth speaks nor understands, including those possessed by it.
The first time I witnessed step, break dance performance on stage in a church on a Sunday service, my skin creeped.
What? So this stuff has crept into the church, too?
What then is the difference between the devil, worldly, provocative, hip-pushing music and Godly, holy music?
Recall way back in the 80’s at the peak of Michael Jackson’s music career, he proposed to sing a gospel song and the entire Christendom kicked against it world-wide. He was forced back down.
Don’t get me wrong, I is not saying MJ, King of Pop’s music is demonic. Far from it. It has it’s rightful place in the world of entertainment.
There is nusic for all genre: Gospel, Praise, Country, Rhythm & Blues, Dance, Electro, Hip-hop, Rock, Jazz, Heavy Metal, Afrobeat, Swange, Juju, etc…
Come to think of it, If I found a public leader visiting the Ojlkija shrine, I won’t be hasty in condemning, if such a leader does not deep their hands into the nation’s coffers, but diligently dispense their duties, to the betterment of society, I might find something good therein.
Many will be shocked who they see in heaven, if they make it.
Listen, folks, there is bad, dangerous, sweet music, and there is Godly sweet melodies. Please do not confuse the two. Singing “Jesus loves love you,” with a devilish tune does not make it Godly.
Is not this nation that converges on churches on Sundays by the multitudes? Is not this same country under chains and shackles of corruption?
Who are these leaders we accuse of stealing public funds and corruption? Are they not present with us in Churches and Mosques?
A few weeks ago in the news was a case of a popular pastor’s son who got a contract of over 80 billion, and refused to executed the job. When queried, he ran to court to obtain an injunction restraining the EFCC, ICPC, the senate, the judiciary, the police, law enforcement agents from arresting him!
What an injunction! Big question mark on the reputation of Judges.
Let’s stop the foolery, and stare evil in the face, and stamp it out, with all it’s attendant sweet, evil music and alluring, demonic lyrics of fake love!
Keep dancing.
Keep singing.
Keep safe.
